Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude to UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the upcoming inauguration of the BAPS Hindu Temple, which he believes is a reflection of his deep affection and admiration for India. Additionally, the two leaders engaged in a productive bilateral meeting in Abu Dhabi, where they exchanged Memorandums of Understanding. Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi extended his appreciation to the UAE President for accepting his invitation to serve as the Chief Guest at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in January.

PM Modi also thanked President Al Nahyan for accepting his invitation to be the Chief Guest at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in January. The Prime Minister emphasized the strong bond between India and the UAE, highlighting their frequent meetings and the progress made in various fields. He also mentioned the introduction of UPI and the Jeevan card, which are set to revolutionize fintech and strengthen the partnership between the two nations.
He further stated, “Similarly, I wish to extend my sincere appreciation to you for graciously accepting my invitation and visiting my home state. Your presence at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit has elevated its significance to new levels. Moreover, it has enhanced the global recognition and esteem of this event. Your visit and impactful address have served as a great source of inspiration and motivation for the people of India. I am deeply thankful to you for this as well.”
He further commended the India-Middle East Economic Corridor as a forward-thinking measure that will bring about lasting effects in terms of connectivity and economic advancement.
The two countries are advancing in a significant path. The assistance we have received for IMEC not only facilitates the connection between the two regions but also paves the way for new opportunities in economic growth. The future generations will always remember the president who guided the world and accomplished such a vital task,” he additionally stated.
Regarding the ‘Ahlan Modi’ event, Prime Minister Modi expressed, “I have been informed that a multitude of individuals have assembled for today’s Indian community event. This would not have been achievable without your affection and backing. I am also appreciative of this.”
Upon his arrival at the airport, PM Modi was warmly received by UAE President Al Nahyan, a moment that was filled with gratitude and camaraderie. The two leaders exchanged handshakes and embraced each other, symbolizing the strong bond between India and UAE. In a post on X, PM Modi expressed his immense appreciation to his brother, HH @MohamedBinZayed, for taking the time to welcome him at Abu Dhabi airport. He eagerly looks forward to a fruitful visit that will further enhance the friendship between the two nations.
Later in the day, the Prime Minister will deliver a speech to the Indian community at the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi. This event, known as ‘Ahlan Modi’ or ‘Hello Modi’, has garnered unprecedented attention, with an overwhelming response from the Indian expatriate community, as reflected by the registration of over 65,000 individuals.
Following his visit to the UAE from February 13-14, PM Modi will then proceed to Doha.
