Mithun, the renowned actor, has recently been diagnosed with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke) of the brain, according to an official statement released by the hospital. The statement indicated that Mithun was admitted to Apollo Multispeciality Hospitals in Kolkata after experiencing weakness in his right upper and lower limbs. The statement further mentioned that necessary medical tests, including an MRI of the brain, were conducted, confirming the diagnosis of an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident. Currently, Mithun is in a conscious state, well-oriented, and following a soft diet. A team of doctors, including a neuro-physician, cardiologist, and gastroenterologist, is actively evaluating his condition.

Mithun’s health status is showing positive progress as he continues to recover. He remains fully conscious, well-oriented, and actively participating in his rehabilitation. Additionally, he has been following a soft diet during this time. Before his discharge, he will undergo further investigations as recommended by the medical facility’s official. It is worth mentioning that Mithun has already undergone an MRI and various other medical tests during his stay at the hospital.

Mithun, the renowned actor, has been honored with the prestigious Padma Bhushan Award in 2024. He embarked on his acting journey with the critically acclaimed film “Mrigayaa,” directed by Mrinal Sen, for which he received the National Film Award for Best Actor. Apart from this, Mithun has delivered remarkable performances in movies like “Disco Dancer,” “Agneepath,” “Ghar Ek Mandir,” “Jallad,” and “Pyaar Jhukta Nahin.” Notably, he recently joined the BJP party in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Kolkata’s Brigade Parade Ground on March 7, 2021.
